In yet another interview, this time with The Age Simon Pegg tool the opportunity to express his opinion of George Lucas and having no desire to be in episode VII.

”I don’t want to be in Star Wars, I think it would spoil it,” Pegg said in an interview with The Age. “When I saw Star Wars when I was a kid, I saw a bunch of people I’d never seen before with some lofty, very respectable older actors in senior roles… I would hope J.J. doesn’t stunt-cast the film. It would be great to get some new peeps in it, it would be amazing.”

“And I think if anyone can pull Star Wars out of the mire, it’s J.J. He’ll bring the fun back, George Lucas seemed to misread what made the first ones great, and concentrate on things that people didn’t really care about, or willfully ignore the things that people cared about. Whereas J.J. will embrace them all… We’re going to see the Millennium Falcon again. We’re going to see those characters again. All the things that we loved about the first three, we will see again,” he added.
